What type of RAM do I need?

DDR? DDR2? DDR3? What kind of memory does your computer take? Memory types are not interchangeable. Let Alison show you the difference between memory types, so when you're ready to upgrade your laptop or desktop computer, you'll know exactly what to look for. All computers use Random Access Memory -- otherwise known as "RAM", but it is important to know what kind of memory your system uses before you buy an upgrade. * DDR memory * DDR2 memory * DDR3 memory As with most parts of your computer, the faster that data can be transferred within the system, the quicker your computer will run. The easiest way to find the right memory for your computer is to look up your system in Crucial's Memory Advisor tool. Or, you can let the Crucial System Scanner show you which upgrade is right for you. Go to www.crucial.com for more information. More videos!
